This is a stunning, professional, black and white photo [below] of the original, 1951 BAYKO model of the 'Art Deco' style Speke Airport Building.

The photo was professionally copied from the official professional photo supplied by the 'Friends of Liverpool Airport'.

The model was built by Plimpton Engineering for the British Industries Fair in 1951.

It was also exhibited at the Liverpool Show in the same year.

This evocative building still sees active service as the Liverpool Airport Hotel where the model is, I believe, still on display.
